ORANGE BELT TECHNIQUES

  1. SUMO - FOR A TWO HAND BELT GRAB
    Step to the right, horse stance, circle the arms and drive the elbows into the opponent's wrists. Do a double spear hand strike to the throat, step up with the right foot to a horse stance. Do a right vertical elbow to the jaw, readjust the left foot and turn soft bow. Do a right hammer-fist to the groin, right rear kick to the center-line, cross out fighting stance.

  2. JAPANESE STRANGLE HOLD (AB)- FOR A TWO HAND REAR CHOKE
    1. Step to the left as you turn to a hard bow facing the right do a right side elbow to the opponent's solar plexus (left hand covers the face). Do a right hammerfist to the groin, grab the groin, rip up as you do a rising elbow to the jaw.
    2. Force the opponent's arm to the left as you step to the right into a square horse stance. Drive a left elbow into the opponent's solar plexus. Drive a left hammerfist to the groin. Drive a left elbow into the opponent's face.

  3. BLOCKING THE KICK (AB) - FOR A SNAP KICK FROM THE FRONT
    1. OPPONENT KICKS THEN FOLLOWS UP Cover with the left hand on chest and right hand on groin, step back right foot and turn to a horse and do a left down block as the right hand chambers. Turn hard bow, right reverse punch as the left hand covers the face.
    2. OPPONENT KICKS THEN WAITS TO SEE YOUR ATTACK Cover with left hand on chest and right hand on groin, step back right foot and turn to a horse and do a left down block as the right hand chambers. Bring the hands up in front of the centerline in an "X" cover, right snap kick to the centerline, set back fighting stance.

  4. HEADLOCK (ABC) - FOR THREE VARIATIONS OF HEADLOCKS
    1. SIDE HEADLOCK - Step up right horse stance in front of the opponent, do a double hammerfist strike to the groin and kidney. Grab the hair from behind with the left hand and turn to a hard bow as the right palm strikes the jaw.
    2. SIDE HEADLOCK AS THE OPPONENT PULLS YOU FORWARD Take two or three steps then drop to the knee closest to the opponent. Cover the face and do a ridge hand to the groin from between the legs.
    3. FRONT FACE LOCK Push forward into opponent's stomach using your shoulder. Do rapid ridge hand strikes to the groin. It is important to remember Constant Forward Pressure.

  5. CRASH OF THE EAGLE I - FOR A TWO HAND REAR CHOKE
    Cross the left foot over the right to an angled soft bow. Point the right elbow to the ceiling as the left hand covers the ribs. Turn to a horse and use the right arm to clear the opponent's arms off of the neck. Do a right vertical elbow to the jaw, right backfist face, right chop to the trap muscle, right inverted chop to the opposite trap muscle, right tiger claw to the eyes. Readjust the left foot, turn to a soft bow as you do a right hammerfist to the groin, left hand covers the face. Cross out fighting stance.

  6. PUSHING THE CIRCLE (AB) - LEFT GRAB TO YOUR RIGHT WRIST
    1. Step up right horse stance, left covers the face, turn your wrist in-between the thumb and finger as you pull to the left armpit. Do a right chop to the throat, readjust the left foot, turn to a soft bow as you do a right hammerfist to the groin, cross out fighting stance.
    2. Left hand covers the face as you step up with the right foot to a horse stance. Drive the right hand next to the opponent's left hip. Circle the arm overhead in a right to left motion and force the arm down next to your right leg. Drive a right rising elbow into the opponent's face.

  7. TACKLE TECHNIQUES - TACKLE
    As the opponent charges in hook the head with the left hand, step back with the left foot to a soft bow. Guide the opponent into a right head smash as you turn to a horse stance for increased power.

  8. RISING ELBOW - BEAR HUG FROM BEHIND ARMS PINNED
    Step to the right to a horse stance as you do a left hammerfist to the opponent's groin. Do a left "C" step to get behind the opponent. Do a left grab to the groin and rip up into a left rising elbow to the jaw. Do a right hammerfist to the solar plexus

  9. OPPONENTS AT SIDES - TWO OPPONENTS
    Step to the right horse stance as the left covers the face do a right chop to the first opponents throat. Step right through to a horse stance toward the second opponent as the left hand grabs the shirt do a right palm strike to the jaw.

  10. DANCER - TWO HAND REAR CHOKE
    Left dancer behind the right foot, left chop to the groin, circle under to clear the hands off of the neck. Do a right ridge hand to the groin, cross out fighting stance.

  11. PASSING THE HORIZON - RIGHT ARM LOCK
    Step back left foot to a soft bow between the opponent's legs. Do a left elbow to the jaw as you turn to a horse stance. Grab the wrist and step forward with the left foot to a horse stance, left snap kick to the body and set back into a fighting stance.

  12. RETREATING FROM THE HORIZON - RIGHT ARM LOCK
    Step back left foot to a soft bow between the opponent's legs. Do a left elbow to the jaw as you turn to a horse stance. Grab the wrist and step forward with the left foot to a horse stance, dancer right foot away from the opponent and turn to a horse stance. Pull the opponent into a right snap kick to the body as the left hand covers the centerline. Set back into a fighting stance.

  13. KIMONO GRAB - TWO HAND CHEST GRAB
    Pin the hands to your chest with your left hand, step back with the left foot to a horse stance. Break up into the elbows of the opponent from underneath his arms, circle around and knock arms away with the right hand as the left hand covers the face. Do a right chop to the throat and then shuffle forward into a horse stance as you do a right head smash. Turn to a soft bow and do a right hammerfist to the groin, right rear kick to the centerline and cross out to a fighting stance.

  14. LEVER (AB) - ONE HAND CHEST GRAB
    1. RIGHT HAND GRAB Pin with the right hand, step back with the right foot into a horse stance. Do a left inward break against the opponent's elbow to break the arm. The left pulls down against the bend of the arm and follows with a left chop to the throat. 
    2. LEFT HAND GRAB Pin with the left hand, step back with the left foot into a horse stance.   Do a right inward break against the opponent's elbow to break the arm.  The right pulls down against the bend of the arm and follows with a right head smash.

  15. CRASHING ELBOWS - STEP THROUGH RIGHT PUNCH
    Step up left horse stance, left inward block to the outside of the right punch. Pin the arm with the left hand as you turn to a hard bow to the left. Do a right elbow to the ribs, turn back a horse stance as you do a right backfist to the kidney and spine.

  16. BRIDGE - TWO HAND REAR CHOKE
    Step to the left horse stance, pull down against the thumbs then re-grab the wrists. Lift the left arm overhead and right dancer underneath to the left side to a hard bow facing the opponent. Do a right snap kick to the opponent's right knee. As you set forward into a horse break the opponents left arm by pushing right and pulling the left. Cover the face with the left hand as you do a right elbow to the solar plexus and a right hammerfist to the groin.
  17. HEEL HOOK - ANY GRAB OR ATTACK FROM BEHIND
    Right flip kick to the groin or knee followed by a right side kick to the inside of the knee. Scrape down the opponent's shin with the non-retracted side kick and finish with a stomp to the arch of the foot. You will land in a hard bow stance while doing the stomp.

  18. FRONT BEAR HUG (ABC) - FRONT BEAR HUG ARMS FREE
    1. Grab the opponent's hair from behind with the left hand. Do a right half fist to the throat and a right knee to the groin simultaneously.
    2. Step back with the left to a horse stance as you do a right whipping backfist to the base of the skull. Use the left hand as a cover against the recoil of the strike to the opponent's head.
    3. Drive a right eagle beak into the nerve located behind the base of the jaw as the left hand braces the opposite side of the head.

  19. EAGLE BEAK - SIDE SHOULDER GRAB
    Pin the opponent's hand to the shoulder with the left hand. Step to the left to a horse stance as the right hand does an eagle beak straight up into the base of the triceps. Shuffle toward the opponent and drive the right eagle beak into the armpit. Rake down the rib cage with the same hand.

  20. SCIMITAR - STEP THROUGH RIGHT PUNCH
    Step up left horse stance, left inward block to the outside of the right punch. The right hand is raised ready to strike. Pin the arm with the left hand as you turn to a hard bow to the left. Do a right four knuckle rake to the bridge of the nose, turn back to a horse stance as you do a right backfist to the kidney and spine

  21. BREAKING THE CROSS - TWO HAND REAR CHOKE
    Step to the right horse stance, pull down against the thumbs then re-grab the wrists. Lift the right arm overhead and step up right foot to a hard bow facing the opponent. Do a right snap kick to the opponent's groin. As the opponent bends forward set forward right foot into a side horse stance in-between the opponent's legs as you do a right head smash.

  22. LOCKING ARM - RIGHT ARM LOCK AGAINST A WALL
    Step back left foot to a soft bow between the opponent's legs. Do a left elbow to the jaw as you turn to a horse stance. Grab the wrist and do a left wrap around to the same arm. Dancer with the right foot to 4:00. As you turn to a hard bow punch down with the left arm to break the opponent's right arm. Turn to a horse stance as you pull the opponent into a right knee to the chest or face.

  23. ATTACKING CIRCLE - THREE OPPONENTS
    This is an offensive movement for a three man attack. The least amount of strikes is five. After you have completed the technique cross away from all three opponents into a fighting stance. The technique is constantly changing from one execution to the next. The theory behind this is to force you to learn self-defense as quickly as possible. Repetition of robotic routines does not force the kind of independent thought provoked by a multi-man attack of your own design.

  24. WINDMILL GUARD - STEP THROUGH RIGHT PUNCH
    Jump to the left to 10:00 into a wheel kick position landing on the left leg. Do a left parry outward block as you jump. Follow with a right wheel kick to the groin, set in next to the opponent into a fighting stance.

  25. AIMING THE SPEAR - LEFT HAND CHEST GRAB, RIGHT PUNCH
    Step up left foot to a horse stance as you do a left palm to the jaw and a right outward block to knock the hand off of the shirt. Turn to a hard bow facing the opponent and do a right half fist to the throat.

  26. ANVIL - TWO HAND WRIST GRAB FRONT THE FRONT
    Step back left foot to a cat stance as you circle your wrists together. Bring them up next to your chest to clear the hands off of your wrist. Cross the hands in front of your face and then do a double backfist strike to the inside of the opponent's wrists. Follow with a right snap kick to the groin, set forward to a soft bow as you do a butterfly palm to the face.

  27. KNEE LIFT - FRONT BEAR HUG ARMS PINNED
    Drive the thumbs into the opponent's groin followed with a right knee to the groin. As the opponent begins to bend forward drive a palm into the solar plexus to force him away. Do a right hip torque side kick to the closest knee, retract and set forward into a fighting stance.

  28. SPIRALING WRIST - BEAR HUG FROM BEHIND ARMS FREE
    Step to the right to a horse stance as you circle the arms overhead and drive the knuckles into the radial nerves on the opponent's wrist. Drive double elbows into the forearms to break the bear hug. Grab the opponent's right wrist and step to 3:00 with the left foot to a horse stance. Dancer with the right foot toward 3:00 into another horse stance. Force the opponent down with a reverse wrist lock. Do a right snap kick to the ribs and set forward into a soft bow and break down against the wrist.

  29. SPREADING THE LEAVES - ATTEMPTED FULL NELSON OR BEAR HUG
    Step up left foot to a soft bow. Do a right elbow to the opponent's face follow with a left elbow to the ribs and another elbow to the centerline. Cross out into a fighting stance.

  30. CRASH OF THE EAGLE II - TWO HAND REAR CHOKE
    Cross the left foot over the right to an angled soft bow. Point the right elbow to the ceiling as the left hand covers the ribs. Turn to a horse and use the right arm to clear the opponent's arms off of the neck. Do a right vertical elbow to the jaw, circle the right arm around and do a palm to the groin. Rip the groin out and follow up with a right half fist to the throat. Turn to a hard bow facing the opponent as the right hand covers the face do a left reverse punch to the solar plexus. Follow with a left half fist to the throat, left tiger claw eyes, left palm to the jaw.
